Webster Highway Department launches spring landscaping initiative with natural mulch and wood chip deliveries available to residents throughout the community

Webster, New York – Starting this Tuesday, April 1, residents of Webster can avail themselves of leaf mulch and wood chips, accessible at the Orchard Road depot situated on the north side of the Charles E. Sexton Memorial Park, close to Holt Road. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for locals to engage in sustainable gardening practices by utilizing natural resources for landscaping and gardening needs.
For those looking to have these materials delivered directly to their homes, the Webster Highway Department is commencing delivery services in the same week. Residents are encouraged to place their orders by returning the completed order form along with the necessary payment.
These forms can be submitted either in person or by mail to the Highway Department. It’s important for residents to note that the department operates Monday through Thursday from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, and on Friday from 6:30 am to 10:30 am.
The city of Webster is committed to keeping the community updated on the availability of these gardening essentials. Regular updates will be posted on both the city’s official website and its social media platforms, ensuring that residents are well-informed and able to plan their gardening activities accordingly.
Looking ahead to the later part of the year, Chip Stone, another vital landscaping material, is slated to be available for delivery starting in August. This will offer an additional resource for those looking to enhance their outdoor spaces.
This program not only supports local beautification efforts but also encourages the community’s participation in utilizing eco-friendly materials. By opting for such natural products, residents contribute to a sustainable environment while enhancing the aesthetic and health of their personal and communal outdoor areas.
