Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas return for 2025 season in Rochester with free admission

Rochester, New York – Bargain hunters, vintage lovers, and treasure seekers have something to celebrate this weekend. The City of Rochester Public Market is kicking off its much-loved Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas series on Sunday, April 13. From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., shoppers can explore dozens of vendors at 280 N. Union Street, where a wide range of goods will be up for grabs.

Whether you’re after used clothing, home décor, sporting goods, toys, tools, antiques, or artwork, the market promises a little something for everyone. Vendors will include individuals and families clearing out their attics, community groups raising funds, and small businesses showcasing their finds. The event draws a lively crowd, uniting bargain shoppers, collectors, and supporters of the “buy used” movement under one roof—or rather, under the historic outdoor sheds.

This event series isn’t just a one-time affair. Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas will continue on select Sundays throughout the spring, summer, and fall, all keeping the same early hours from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. After April 13, other sale dates include April 27, June 8 and 22, July 6 and 20, August 3, 17, and 31, September 14 and 28, and a final sale on October 12. Shoppers should mark their calendars because, rain or shine, these sales are happening. Plus, admission is free.

It’s not just about the bargains either. The entire Market District will be buzzing, with dining spots and specialty shops open for visitors to enjoy throughout the day. Even though May is skipped for Flower City Days horticultural sales, the Garage Sales and Super Fleas series more than makes up for it with plenty of chances to score great deals throughout the rest of the season.

For those who want to set up shop themselves, vending spaces are available for just $35 per day. Each 10’ x 30’ space even comes with a parking spot. Regular sellers can save a little cash by buying a six-day package for $160. Anyone interested can grab an application online or swing by the Market Office, open Tuesday through Saturday, and on sale Sundays.

Sunday’s kickoff is also the start of a packed year for the Public Market, which will host over three dozen free events across 2025. To stay in the loop, visitors can check out the full schedule online or follow the Public Market on Facebook and Instagram. Whether you’re there to sell, shop, or just wander, Sunday’s event promises a lively, colorful start to the season.
