Chamber of Commerce honored for excellence in employee support and organizational values as it earns Top Workplaces title in highly competitive metro area

Rochester, New York – In a notable acknowledgment of its commitment to workplace excellence, the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce has been recognized as a winner of the Top Workplaces 2025 award for the Rochester metro area. This prestigious accolade is a testament to the positive workplace environment fostered by the Chamber and highlights its dedication to enhancing the regional business climate.

The Top Workplaces awards are determined by feedback provided directly from employees, which is collected through a comprehensive survey managed by Energage LLC, a leader in employee engagement technology. The survey evaluates various aspects of the workplace culture, including respect, support, growth opportunities, and empowerment, ensuring that the award winners truly reflect the best places to work in the region.

Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage, emphasized the significance of the award.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce has distinguished itself not only by receiving this honor but also through its proactive approach to supporting and advocating for local businesses. Under the leadership of Bob Duffy, President and CEO, the Chamber has served as a vital resource for over 1,300 member businesses, providing them with the necessary tools and support to thrive.

Bob Duffy shared his gratitude and pride in receiving the award.

“This honor belongs to our 37 team members, who work tirelessly day in and day out to provide advocacy, resources, and unwavering support to businesses in Greater Rochester. We are proud to accept this honor of being named one of Rochester’s Top Workplaces for 2025, and use it as motivation to continue embodying our values of inclusion, passion, integrity, collaboration, and customer commitment,” said Bob Duffy, President and CEO, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to its advocacy work, the Chamber plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the community. It encourages businesses to embrace risk, explore new opportunities, and engage in collaborations that drive economic growth and prosperity.

The Top Workplaces award not only highlights the Chamber’s role as a leader in business advocacy but also underscores its commitment to creating a supportive and successful community in Rochester. As businesses and organizations across the region continue to face new challenges and opportunities, the Chamber’s leadership and its recognition as a top workplace demonstrate its pivotal role in shaping a thriving regional economy.
