Rochester woman got her charges upgraded for the incident that took place in April last year, police

Rochester, New York – A woman has just got her charged upgraded for the incident that took place last April in Rochester, the local police department confirmed.

According to the incident report, Alicia Saladyga was robbed while she was staying in her hotel room located on Mt. Read Blvd. on April 7, 2021. During the robbery, the victim suffered serious injuries and she was transferred to hospital for treatment in critical condition. She died due to the injuries two weeks later.

The early investigation has shown that the 43-year-old Christopher Pate and 44-year-old Jennifer Shea were responsible for the robbery incident. They were arrested and charged with burglary in the 1 degree, and robbery in the first degree.

The results of the autopsy from the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s office determined the death of Saladyga to be a homicide.

Once they informed the local authorities for the results, Jennifer Shea got her charged upgraded and she now faces second degree murder charge in addition to the charges of burglary in the 1 degree, and robbery in the first degree.

The 43-year-old Christopher Pate won’t face upgraded charges at this time.
