Judge handed over a 20-year prison sentence to a man who had sexual contact with a minor
Greece, New York – A man from Greece was sentenced to 22 years behind bars on charges of having sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl.
Joseph McGrain, 50, was sentenced on Wednesday by Chief United States District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford for enticing a minor to engage in sexual intercourse, obstruction of justice, and attempted obstruction of justice.
When Greece police learned that McGrain was having sex with a minor, they started an investigation. They found evidence from a Facebook conversation between the two of them on April 1, 2020, and then pressed charges against McGrain.
According to the prosecution, McGrain and the victim were engaged in sexual contact almost every day between October 2018 and March 26, 2020.
