Authorities investigating after a 38-year-old man was fatally shot in a parking lot

Dallas, Texas – Dallas Metro News, a news outlet covering local news about Dallas County, reported that Dallas authorities are currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 38-year-old man on Saturday evening. The event transpired in the parking lot of a commercial establishment located in the 1200 block of Red Bird Lane, shortly after 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Clovis Dawayne Braxton suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to the hospital, but sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving. The incident has caused considerable distress within the community, and law enforcement officials are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice.
Investigators have determined that the shooter fled the crime scene on foot, last seen heading north on University Hills Boulevard in the direction of Ledbetter Drive. The suspect was reportedly wearing a black shirt and orange Nike shorts at the time of the incident.
