Prior to the start of early voting in three weeks, the Monroe County Board of Elections advises people to “make a plan”

Rochester, New York – The Monroe County Board of Elections wants to make it simpler for voters to select the best option for them when early voting in New York begins in three weeks.
“Organize your vote. Please don’t wait until the last minute; there will be a lot of activity, and some of us who recall 2020 are still traumatized by it. Thus, it will be hectic. Make a plan, choose whether to vote by mail, whether to attend early voting, and whether to cast your ballot on election day as usual, advised Jackie Ortiz, Democratic Commissioner for the Monroe County Board of Elections.
The general election is scheduled on November 5 and early voting starts on October 26. Monroe County residents can anticipate receiving postcards in the mail that have all the information they require, including deadlines. There are still a few weeks left to apply for absentee ballots, register to vote, and alter your address.
There are currently around 500,000 voters registered in Monroe County, beating the previous record.
“At this time, we’ve probably done well over 150 events this year where we’ve been out in the community actively registering voters in Monroe County in addition to educating and informing them. We actively participate in many things ourselves,” Ortiz remarked.
The Board of elections website allows you to track your ballot if you’re voting absentee or by mail. Click here to apply for an early postal ballot or to get further details.
