Macy’s sells a building in Greece Ridge Mall

Greece, New York – For $2.6 million, Macy’s sold their building at the Greece Ridge Mall. The business filed last week and sold to Florida-based Del Associates. The actual store is still open.
Due to several financial difficulties, the apparel company plans to eliminate 150 locations by 2026 and increase its delivery fleet at the same time.

Right now, it’s unclear when or if the store will close. A representative for Macy’s stated that the business is developing a new growth plan and added: This coincides with the opening of Bubble House at Greece Ridge Mall.

The 560-square-foot area behind Famous Wok at the food court debuted on Saturday. The restaurant serves crepes, ice cream, smoothies, acai bowls, and customizable drinks.

Online ordering and delivery from this Bubble House location will be accessible at a later time, according to the Greece Ridge Mall.

The new True Storage site is currently being built at Greece Ridge. With more than 90,000 square feet, the climate-controlled and self-storage facility will occupy the former Sears.

In 2018, the Sears store there closed.

According to a representative for mall developer Wilmorite, Sears sold the wing to True Storage, which is leasing space from the mall.

There isn’t an updated completion date on True Storage’s website.

Apple Cinemas, located on the opposite side of the mall, is currently under construction.

The old Regal was replaced by a sit-down, dine-in theater format.

Apple Cinemas hopes to open by the end of this year or the start of the next, according to a representative.

Earlier this year, Apple Cinemas opened in Pittsford.
