Jewish Home launches free employee grocery store
Brighton, New York – On Tuesday, a local retirement facility will make a gesture of gratitude toward its staff members.
In celebration of the great opening of its employee grocery shop, which is filled with everything from fresh produce to frozen food and is completely free for employees, the Jewish Home is holding a celebration.
There will be at least two times every month that the store is open, and hourly workers who are eligible will be able to fill up to two huge bags of food at no cost.
The administrators at Jewish Hope are hopeful that it will assist in the fight against food insecurity, which is caused by the rising prices of products such as gas, utilities, and rent.
“We have a very strong culture of empathy and compassion within the Jewish Home,” said Michael King, who serves as both the president and CEO of the organization. There is a palpable anxiety that many of our colleagues are experiencing, and we are aware that food insecurity is a serious problem. “We came to the conclusion that we need to take action for them.”
