Investigators are looking for answers in the homicide of a lady who was 63 years old and lived in Rochester
Rochester, New York – The Rochester Police Department is conducting a search for the person responsible for the death of a 63-year-old woman.
Around one o’clock on Saturday, the body of Myrtle Watson, who was 63 years old, was discovered in a basement apartment on Sixth Street.
The chief of the Major Crimes Unit, Captain Frank Umbrino, stated that Watson had sustained injuries to his upper torso. He declined to provide any further details regarding the circumstances surrounding her passing.
It is believed by the investigators that Watson had been deceased for a number of hours prior to the discovery of her body. All by herself, she resided in the apartment.
One of the neighbors, who asked not to be recognized, stated that this is an unusual event on a street that is usually peaceful.
“Not often that anything like this happens in the street, usually very quiet. So we like to take pride on the street and we’d like to be more safe where the kids play around and move around. And I have my own grandkids and all the people here have grandkids and kids of their own,” the neighbor said.
