Fairport native will sing the National Anthem again at Bills game

Rochester, New York – It has been announced that the National Anthem will be performed by a native of Fairport at the next playoff game for the Bills!
SUNY Fredonia School of Music student Lucas West is currently in his junior year. Through his participation in the Fedonia Jazz Orchestra, the New Jazz Flextet, and the Trombone Choir, as well as his participation in the Vocal Jazz Combo, Lucas, who is majoring in Jazz Studies and studying voice, piano, and trombone, is performing.
At a previous Bills game, which took place in November 2023 and featured a matchup between the Bills and the Jets, Lucas had previously sang the National Anthem. For the part, he was required to go through an audition, but he ended up getting it!
Lucas received an email from the Bills team inviting him to return to perform the National Anthem for the game that was scheduled to take place before the Bills’ wild card game versus the Broncos. Since Lucas was out of the nation at the time, he was unable to participate in the game by singing.
To our great good fortune, the Bills have committed to allowing Lucas to participate in the divisional round, and he is scheduled to perform at the Bills game against the Ravens on the following Sunday!
