U.S. Air Force veteran donates milestone 5 gallons of blood
Elmira, New York— A U.S. Air Force veteran and Millport resident, Karl Kozemko, passed a milestone blood donation at the West Elmira Fire Department blood drive on July 16.
Kozemko crossed the five-gallon donation mark on Friday.
According to the Red Cross, for every pint donated, up to three lives are saved.

It took less than 40 hours of Kozemko’s time to donate the five gallons.
