Rochester, New York – On Wednesday, Rochester Prep High School students were aiming high.
Clayton Turner, a Rochester Institute of Technology alumnus and acting assistant administrator for NASA’s Space Technology Mission, spoke to them.
The AP Calculus students at the institution gained extensive knowledge about the logistics involved in space exploration.
“I have the opportunityeveryday to reach for new heights, to reveal the unknown for the betterment of human kind,” Turner stated. “We go to Mars and learn about our home planet, the moon, and how to live and work there. In addition to teaching us how to go more quickly from where we are to where we want to be, we also teach the next generation to be exciting and engaged.”
Turner graduated from RIT in 1990 with a degree in electrical engineering, and in 2019 he was recognized as a distinguished alumnus.
