Large inflow of kittens overwhelms Lollypop Farm
Rochester, New York – “Kitten season” is overwhelming Lollypop Farm’s animal shelters, the Humane Society said on Friday morning.
Cats go into heat during the fall and winter, which is known as kitten season. Because of the strain on resources caused by the number of kittens born around this season, animal shelters may experience difficulties.
According to Lollypop Farm, 623 animals are under its care. Thirty-two of those animals are cats, and the remaining sixteen are kittens. Some of these kittens, like Stevie, who was brought to the shelter with broken hind legs, also require medical attention.
If citizens of Monroe County wish to support Lollypop Farm, they have a few choices. A wish list featuring gadgets, toys, cat food, and other items was put up by the humane society on Amazon. Additionally, Lollypop Farm is requesting additional foster families to assist with this inflow.
Lollypop Farm will give fosters supplies like food and medical attention. The Lollypop Farm website is where anyone who wish to sign up can do so.
