Tech director Sinha runs for mayor, promising an unconventional viewpoint and audacious measures
Rochester, New York – In the upcoming election, Rochester Mayor Malik Evans will be up against a primary opponent.
Shashi Sinha’s statement when he made his campaign announcement on Wednesday was “Change is Coming”.
After living in Rochester for almost 15 years, the IT director, real estate investor, and businessman claims he hasn’t seen any genuine improvement on some of the city’s most pressing problems.
“We’re going to end this tax foreclosure auction right away. The tax rate is excessive. In contrast to what we’ve seen, which involves raising assessments and then claiming that the tax rate has been lowered by this much, my objective is to reduce property taxes by 40%.
Sinha describes himself as an outsider rather than a politician and claims that his administration would act boldly in order to fulfill a lofty goal.
