Rochester, New York — A car slammed into a home on the city’s northeast side and injured 5 children.
The incident happened on Thomas Street just before 6 p.m. Tuesday. The 47-year-old Rochester woman ended up inside the living room with her car.
According to police, the children range in age from 2 to 13. They were inside the home. Their injuries are not considered serious, according to first responders.
“It made a lot of noise and I heard screaming. I didn’t think much of it because I thought it was thunder,” remarked a neighbor.
The 47-year-old female driver was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
The children’s home is unlivable and the American Red Cross is helping.
