Rochester man convicted of stealing more than 100 millions

Rochester, New York — A 41-year-old man from Rochester bilked at least 1,000 victims out of more than $100 million in a nationwide Ponzi scheme.

Perry Santillo, was convicted of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering, and now is going to prison.

According to prosecutors, Santillo and Christopher Parris operated the scheme together between 2008 and 2019.

Parris is awaiting sentencing.

Santillo has been sentenced to serve nearly 18 years in prison and pay restitution.
