Rochester man arrested in connection to deadly Genesee Street shooting
Rochester, New York – According to Rochester police an arrest has been made in connection to one of several homicides earlier in June.
On June 17th, 22-year-old Brandon McClary from Rochester was killed.
The suspect is 21-year-old Troy Jones, who is also from Rochester.
According to police, Jones has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree.
Jones shot McClary multiple times with a 9-millimeter handgun on Genesee Street on June 17th, authorities said.
He was taken to URMC where he died a short time later.
Police say that although an arrest has been made, this is still an ongoing investigation. At the time of the shooting, police said McClary had been shot by multiple gunmen.
