Plane makes emergency landing at Frederick Douglass – Greater Rochester International Airport
Rochester, New York – Sunday evening, a plane made an emergency landing at Frederick Douglass – Greater Rochester International Airport.
According to airport director Andy Moore, a United Express flight from Newark, N.J. to Buffalo was diverted to ROC due to a fuel leak aboard the Bombardier CRJ 700 jet.
According to authorities, the plane landed safely on Runway 422 with no injuries reported, and all 55 passengers aboard were shuttled back to the terminal.
Matthew Modesitt, manager of corporate communications at GoJet Airlines, said:
“GoJet Airlines flight 4583 operating as United Express from Newark to Buffalo encountered a possible fuel imbalance and diverted to Rochester. The flight landed safely and buses are now shuttling passengers back to the gate. We are making arrangements to get customers to their destinations on a different aircraft.”
