Pedestrian killed in Hopewell crash, investigation continuous
New York – According to New York State Police, the car vs. pedestrian accident that happened in Hopewell Sunday night has turned fatal.
Around 7:30 p.m., police, firefighters, and EMS responded to 5&20 and County Road 10 in Hopewell.
As personnel worked the scene, the road was closed for hours.
The pedestrian was identified as 42-year-old Rauly Pesante-Davila, of Canandaigua. Pesante-Davila was struck by a vehicle while walking along the west side of County Road 10 and Routes 5&20.
He was transported to Thompson Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to troopers, the investigation is ongoing.
