Rochester, New York – Genesee, Orleans, Wyoming, and Livingston counties are currently deemed “moderate” risk, while Yates County has been designated as “low”.

According to the CDC COVID Data Tracker, Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, and Seneca counties are among those in New York now considered “substantial” when it comes to the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

A county is deemed “substantial” when it records 50-100 cases per 100,000 people or has a positivity rate between 8-10 percent.

The CDC recommends that unvaccinated wear a mask in all areas.

Those fully-vaccinated people wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission.
