ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Deputies released the names of the two people arrested after a shoplifting call turned into a chase and four crashes in Henrietta.
Derrick Harley, 53, and Pamela Gavin, 48, both of Rochester are facing multiple charges. Deputies say they were caught trying to steal merchandise from Kohl’s in Henrietta.
While Gavin was caught quickly, deputies say Harley took off in a stolen car and crashed four times during the chase.
The first time was as he was leaving the parking lot, the second on East River and West Henrietta roads. The third time was at the same location and he crashed a fourth time into a tree off of Kendrick Road.
No one was injured.
Deputies say both Harley and Gavin are predicate felons. They’re being held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
