Lockout of three of the four schools in Palmyra-Macedon Central School District

Palmyra, New York – The High School, Middle School, and Primary School within the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District remain in lockout under advisement from law enforcement.
The District was first notified of a police investigation involving a weapon by the Wayne County 911 call center shortly before 11 a.m. and immediately placed the three schools on lockout.
During a lockout, nobody is allowed to leave or enter a building. Classes are continuing as normal.
Afternoon Pre-Kindergarten classes were canceled.
The investigation does not involve the District and is not happening on District grounds.
The District and its Director of Safety are continuing to monitor the situation closely, in cooperation with law enforcement, until the scene can be deemed safe.
