Law enforcement involved after an incident in Victor Schools

Victor, New York – At the beginning of the school year the Victor Central School District is dealing with what it calls a “disturbing video” circulated on social media.

“The Victor School District has zero-tolerance for this type of behavior,” the statement read. “The situation was dealt with immediately, with consequences pursuant to the District’s Code of Conduct as well as police involvement.”

“This behavior is not the norm for our District,” the statement continued. “We will continue to work proactively to do whatever we can to prevent these events from occurring in the future. We appreciate the shared commitment of our community to maintain the health and safety of all our children.”

The principal of Victor High School sent a letter to parents this week about some alleged “inappropriate” behavior including fights and vandalism.

Some of the fights have been witnessed and even encouraged by others, according to the letter. The letter also cites problems with vaping, vandalism in the bathrooms and cafeteria, and students recording these acts and posting them to social media.

According to the letter, there have been instances of students being disrespectful when asked to wear their masks correctly.

The principal says police are involved in some of the cases.
