Governor Kathy Hochul accepts Democratic Party’s nomination for governor
New York – The state Democratic Party’s nomination for the gubernatorial primary in June was accepted by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul at a Manhattan hotel on Thursday, February 17.
According to Albany Times-Union, the 2022 New York State Democratic Convention was hosted at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on Thursday.
Before she took the stage to accept the nomination, The former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton introduced Hochul.
“We will rise up for one state,” said Hochul as she accepted to state Democratic Party’s nomination.
Hochul’s Democratic contenders, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi, will have to gain enough signatures if they want to make the June primary ballot.
