Gates Police Department warns residents about robberies at ATMs
Gates, New York — According to the Gates Police Department, people should be careful of going to ATMs in the town late at night.
There have been robberies happening across the county, including two in Gates last month, the department said.
According to the department, people wearing hoodies and face masks have been approaching people with a gun and demanding money.
It typically happens between 9 p.m. and midnight.
The police department asks anyone who sees something suspicious at the ATM to call 911.
