Authorities have taken four horses and a donkey from a property in Orleans County
Rochester, New York – In Orleans County, the Lollypop Farm Humane Law Enforcement took action to remove four horses and a donkey from a property.
Lollypop Farm announced that their officers conducted a search at a property located on Upper Holley Road in collaboration with the county and New York State Police. Investigators reported that the animals were in poor condition, suffering from overgrown hooves and being underweight. The individuals were transported to Lollypop Farm for urgent assistance.
The owner was accused of failing to adhere to a prior request for the animals’ care.
“Every animal is entitled to adequate veterinary care, nourishment, hydration, and shelter, encompassing both farm animals and horses,” stated Humane Law Enforcement Vice President Reno Di Domenico. “Our commitment to advocating for more stringent regulations regarding the care of animals that frequently go unnoticed will persist.”
No arrests have been made at this time, but charges are expected to follow in this case.
