A man in Greece has received a 20-year prison sentence for a machete assault on his ex-girlfriend

Rochester, New York – A man from Greece has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for assaulting his ex-girlfriend with a machete.
Authorities reported that the life-threatening assault occurred on April 18, when David Lampman assaulted Tina Schreib using a machete. As a consequence, she lost her hand.
Am Freitagmorgen fand im Gericht die Urteilsverkündung statt, und es wurde eine Opferauswirkungserklärung vor Lampman abgegeben. Following the hearing, Schreib informed reporters that she has taken on the role of an advocate for survivors and victims of domestic violence.
Lampman and Schreib shared seven years together prior to the incident. She informed News 8 that there had been no instances of physical abuse during their relationship. She stated that she intended to terminate the relationship prior to the assault.
Lampman entered a guilty plea for first-degree assault last October, leading to a sentence of 20 years. Initially, he faced charges of attempted murder in the second-degree and second-degree assault.
