A new drive-trough pediatric PCR COVID-19 testing site opens in Monroe County
Rochester, New York — In order to test the school-aged children, Monroe County now has a drive-through rapid PCR COVID-19 test center.
The test center is located at the county’s Fleet Center on Paul Road. An appointment is required and once there, you must get out of your car to be swabbed.
According to leaders, the results are ready in hours, not days, helping children who might be sick with something else, or even those who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, get back into the classroom faster with a negative test.
The center is open most days this week in the mornings and is available to students K-12 who are no longer experiencing symptoms.
