COVID cases and staffing shortages at the same time in the hospitals across the country
New York – Hospitals across the country are experiencing staff shortages and a rise in COVID cases.
Many people are choosing to retire just as things get hectic from the pandemic. Vaccine mandate is causing staff shortages also.
Many places are finding ways to make up for the shortage by recruiting new staff and utilizing staff that works per diem and part-time.
Hospitals across the country also don’t want people to shy away from emergency departments when facing a medical emergency.
Hospitals are still there to help in an emergency, though some of them are diverting and wait times are longer.
