Two loaded handguns removed from the streets of Rochester in separate incidents this week
Rochester, New York — This week, loaded guns were removed from the streets of Rochester in two separate incidents.
Following a traffic stop, on Tuesday the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force arrested Joshua Williams, a 22-year-old resident city resident.
Williams is a suspect in a shooting incident.
He was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
According to Rochester Police, on Thursday, they responded to a report that someone was being menaced with a handgun on the 500 block of Norton Street.
A victim claimed she had been involved in an argument with another woman, who pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot the victim. The female with the gun left the area in a vehicle and was subsequently stopped by assisting officers a short while later. Further investigation led to the recovery of a loaded handgun.
Conashea Drummond-Lewis, a 34-year-old suspect city resident, was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
