Ibero sponsors annual coat giveaway
Rochester, New York — In order to help residents in need warm during the winter months, on Saturday morning Ibero-American Action League sponsored its eighth annual coat giveaway.
Besides warm coats, participants received a hot meal, plus the opportunity to be connected to local resources. The event took place at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School on Zimbrich Street.
For those aged 12-and-up, a COVID vaccine clinic was also on site.
The Ibero-American Action League is a dual-language human services organization, founded in 1968, that works toward the advancement of the Latino community in Greater Rochester.
Saturday’s event was co-sponsored by Citizen Bank, UPNY Planet Aid, Nazareth College, Fidelis, and Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter School.
