Upstate Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child
NEW LEBANON, NY — A Rensselaer County man was accused of sexually abusing a child in Columbia County.
The New York State Police charged William E. Ubrich, 45, of Sand Lake, Rensselaer County, Friday with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
An investigation by the state police in conjunction with the Columbia County Child Advocacy Center found Ubrich sexually abused a child under the age of 11, police said.
He was arraigned in the Town of Claverack Court and sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
Ubrich is next scheduled to appear before the Town of New Lebanon Court Jan. 4
