Crews battle 2-alarm fire in Henrietta
HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Crews battled a two-alarm fire at a company in Henrietta Thursday night.
It happened at Hammer Packaging, a printing press company, on Lucius Gordon Drive, near Rochester Institute of Technology.
Crews say a piece of machinery caught fire around 10:15 p.m. and spread to the ductwork of the building. They said a second-alarm was called because of the size of the building and difficulty getting to the fire.
According to crews, there were about 30 employees inside but everyone got out safely.
There were no chemicals were involved.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
