One seriously hurt in Newark fire
Newark, N.Y. – One person suffered serious burns in a fire Thursday morning in Newark.
Firefighters were called to a single-family home on Whitbeck Road around 10 a.m.
Newark Mayor Jonathan Taylor tells 13WHAM the house is said to be a total loss. One person was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious burns.
The cause is under investigation, however the fire is believed to be accidental in nature.
