Building second chances with Rochester Construction Training Center
Gates, New York – We could all use a second chance now and again. The Rochester Construction Training Center is where some people get that second opportunity (RCTC).
The non-profit center offers training in building and home remodeling.
Students pick up all the skills necessary to launch a career in construction, from pounding a nail to performing simple repairs on a water heater.
About 45 men and women graduate from RTCT each year, with plans to grow and assist additional people.
Grants and donations, which are more important than ever, are used to fund practically all of the organization’s operations. Sam Carter went to the facility on Tuesday morning to find out more.
