Al Sigl Community of Agencies celebrates their 60th anniversary with the Rochester community
Rochester, New York – Al Sigl Community hosted an afternoon of inclusive fun for all ages and abilities, in honor of the milestone anniversary.
Al Sigl Community of Agencies is a nonprofit organization that is a collaborative community network. The nonprofit collaborative encompasses nineteen buildings on six campuses. Al Sigl Member Agencies have grown from serving 3,000 to serving over 55,000 children and adults with special needs and their families each year.
The celebration took place on the Sigl Wolk Campus, where Justin Vigdor saw a need- to bring agencies that serve those with different abilities- a chance to work together, under one roof.
“It has been absolutely remarkable and I don’t know another community that has anything exactly like it- quite like it- in face other communities have come from time to time to see what’s going on here,” said Vigdor. “Work together, you can achieve more, we can conserve dollars and accomplish more.”
The celebrations included recognitions from Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, Deputy County Executive Corrinda Crossdale, and Assembler Member Jen Lunsford.
