8 people injured in two-vehicle crash on State Route 14 in Geneva
Geneva, New York — On Monday night, Eight pedestrians were struck during a two-vehicle crash in Geneva.
According to Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies, they were called to the area of State Route 14 and Glass Factory Bay Road around 7:30 p.m.
A southbound vehicle driven by 24-year-old Patrick Babb, of Geneva was trying to make a left turn onto Glass Factory Bay Road in front of a northbound vehicle driven by 31-year-old Corey Bray of Lyons, deputies said. They say Babb failed to yield the right of way, and that his vehicle hit Bray’s. Both vehicles, they say, then hit eight pedestrians standing on the corner of State Route 14 and Glass Factory Bay Road.
According to deputies, the pedestrians and two drivers were taken to area hospitals. One was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by helicopter as a precaution due to pregnancy.
None of the injuries are considered life-threatening.
According to deputies, Babb was cited for reckless driving and failing to yield a left-hand turn.
