343 new Covid-19 cases, 38 more deaths confirmed by the Monroe County Department of Health

Monroe County, N.Y. – Monroe County Department of Health reported 343 new Covid-19 cases and 38 additional deaths.
This brings to a total of 40,967 Covid-19 cases and 723 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
The 38 reported deaths on Wednesday occured between December 23 – January 7.
The average positivity rate is 8.5 percent.
As of Wednesday afternoon, in the Finger Lakes region 874 people were hospitalized, 156 of whom were in the ICU.
The seven-day rolling average of available hospital beds is 32%. The 7-day rolling average of ICU beds available is 24%.
