19-year-old died in crash on Jefferson Road
Henrietta, New York — A motor vehicle accident on Jefferson Road Saturday morning left a 19-year-old man from Rochester dead.
According to Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies, they responded to 1111 Jefferson Road around 6 a.m. for the report of a crash.
According to deputies, the eastbound vehicle left the south side of the road, striking two utility poles before coming to rest in front of the DoubleTree Hotel.
The driver who was removed from the vehicle by the Henrietta Fire Department was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by CHS Ambulance with serious physical injuries. He died around 7:30 a.m.
The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and hydroplaned due to the wet roads, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike the utility poles, according to deputies.
The name of the driver has not been released.
Eastbound lanes of traffic on Jefferson Road have been reopened to traffic.
