Woman is facing murder charges after she shot in the face and instantly killed her husband right after she discovered that he impregnated another woman. According to police records, the “unfaithful husband” decided to have child with other women because his wife refused to have any.

Police informed that the suspect, identified as the 46-year-old L. Stoney, shot her long-term boyfriend in the face last month after 26-year-long relationship. Court records indicate that the argument escalated when Stoney learned that her husband recently had a baby with another woman.

At the time when the incident occurred, the Stoney and her husband were separated and she decided to go to his apartment in Pennsylvania in hopes of working things out.

Police officers responded after Stoney called 911 and reported that she and her husband were both shot in attempt to reach a handgun. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman suffering gunshot wounds, while her husband was already dead laying on the ground.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Penn Live that managed to contact husband’s family members, he fulfilled a longtime dream of becoming a dad two months ago when his daughter was born. His family said his desire to have children stemmed from them losing several members to diabetes complications in their 20s and 40s.

“All he wanted to do was be happy and raise his daughter,” said husband’s relative. “I haven’t seen him so happy until he had this baby. The thought of him not being able to raise her, it’s just devastating.”

When police questioned Stoney, she said she became very disturbed when she acknowledged that her husband has a child with another woman while they were working to fix their relationship, despite the fact she didn’t want to have children.

Although she knew about everything, the incident erupted following an argument one night when she found text messages her husband had in his cell phone with the mother of the child.

While they were arguing, Stoney tried to reach her husband’s handgun that was laying on the floor by the bed, despite the fact that her husband didn’t threaten her with the gun. When asked by the officers why she reached for the gun, she said that she picked it up to avoid it being used.

Stoney told police that Cooksey pushed her and the gun went off, causing the bullet to tear through Stoney’s arm and fatally hit the victim in the face, according to the documents.

She was jailed with no bond until the next court hearing. If found guilty, she will spend many years in prison.
