Woman hurt while attempting to stop the car theft from driving away
Webster, New York – According to Webster police a vehicle was stolen Thursday and the owner was hurt while attempting to stop the suspect from driving away.
On Thursday around 2 p.m. , Police were called to the 7-Eleven on Ridge Road in Webster for the report of a stolen vehicle.
According to the police report the vehicle’s owner was getting into her vehicle when a male suspect began speaking to her. He allegedly lied her tire pressure was low, and when she went to check the tire, he got inside her vehicle and started to drive away.
The woman tried holding onto the vehicle, and that the suspect hit a second vehicle, police said.
The woman reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident.
Police are looking for a 2019 blue Kia Sorrento with the registration ARX-7433. The suspect is described as a man with a red bandana.
