Who will run against Governor Kathy Hochul in 2022?
New York – In 2018 Public Advocate Jumaane Williams lost in a ran for lieutenant governor against current Governor Kathy Hochul.
Next year he may be running against her for Governor of New York.
Williams’s formed an exploratory committee but plans to make his final decision in the coming weeks.
Governor Kathy Hochul is already seeking endorsements to lock into place, but some Democrats are waiting to see who else may run, like Attorney General Letitia James.
So far James, Williams, and even New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio have expressed interest in running, nobody has officially declared yet.
