Two residents of a house and a firefighter are recovering from injuries they sustained in fire

Rochester, New York – On Monday night, the Rochester Fire Department received a call of a house fire on Greig Street in the Corn Hill neighborhood.
Just before 10 p.m. on Monday, the firefighters arrived at the scene and started to work to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.
Fire was visible from the second floor of the home and the firefighters started collapsing the roof of the main home while crews worked on putting it out.
Eventually firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in less than an hour.
Two of the home’s occupants had minor burns and cuts, they were taken to Strong Hospital and treated for their injuries.
A firefighter developed a case of heat exhaustion and was taken to the hospital out of precaution.
According to firefighters the fire caused minor damage to the neighboring homes, but would have destroyed them if help didn’t arrive when it did.
The investigation is ongoting.
