Three fall through ice on Braddock Bay in Greece

Greece, N.Y. – Three fishermen were pulled from the water Tuesday afternoon after falling through the ice on Braddock Bay in Greece.
First responders were called to East Manitou Road near Braddock Bay around 3 p.m.
According to authorities on scene, three people fell through the ice. All three were ultimately rescued in under 40 minutes. Everyone else was rescued within an hour.
Ken Peterson witnessed the fishermen’s rescue.
“I’ve been ice fishing probably 50 years. I’ve never seen the ice go so fast,” he said. “I mean, it went fast today. Usually it starts to get soft right around the shoreline, but you’ve got to watch it. You’ve got to be careful.”
One person was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
No one was seriously injured.
