The 16th annual Walking on Sunshine is hosted by Mary Cariola
Penfield, New York – On Sunday morning, the Mary Cariola Center held its 16th annual Walking On Sunshine event at Penfield’s Veteran’s Memorial Park, which is located behind Penfield Town Hall.
A silent auction, entertainment, a time capsule, and refreshments are all included in the walk.
The Mary Cariola Center staff claims that there is a huge discrepancy between the reimbursement rates and the true expense of providing care and education for the people we serve.
According to the organizers, “fundraising is crucial to the operation of the Mary Cariola Center.”
Serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as medical complexity, Mary Cariola Center is a non-profit organization that operates six residential houses and three separate educational sites in the Rochester area.
