Shooting overnight on Smith St. in Rochester, woman taken to hospital
Rochester, New York – Early Monday morning, a woman is being shot in Rochester. A woman is expected to recover.
According to police, they were called to Smith Street around 1 a.m. for the report of a shooting and found the 35-year-old victim.
Upon arrival at the scene, they found the victim shot at least once in the upper body.
She was taken to Strong Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Around the same time, Rochester Police reported gunshots had been fired on Child Street in the city.
They say no person or property was hit.
Police ask anyone with information to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 423-9300.
