Salvation Army starts Love Beyond movement
Rochester, New York – On Valentine’s Day, The Salvation Army’s kicked off their latest initiative.
The Salvation Army hopes to raise awareness of its services and encourage people, groups, and businesses to get involved.
“Many people think of The Salvation Army as thrift stores and kettlebell ringers, but few realize the role our organization plays in helping humanity beyond Christmas time,” said Maureen Hill, who does community relations for The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester.
“Love Beyond reminds our community that volunteering and giving donations throughout the year equally helps care for those suffering in Rochester.”
The Salvation Army provides substance abuse recovery programs, after-school programs, emergency housing, and more.
