Rochester police investigating a stabbing incident that sent one to the hospital

Rochester, New York – Rochester police are looking into a stabbing incident that left a man injured late Tuesday night.

Officers were sent around 7:30 p.m. to the area of Murray Street after receiving a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered a 45-year-old man suffering from an apparent stab wound to his body.

The victim told investigators he was walking in the area of Masseth Street and Child Street when he was stabbed by an unknown individual.

The victim was transported for treatment at Strong Hospital. Fortunately, his injuries were non-life threatening and he is expected to recover.

No one has yet been arrested in connection with the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call 911.
