Rochester man arrested after facing weapon possession charges
Rochester, New York – A Rochester man was arrested after Rochester Police received several reports of him with a gun.
Sunday around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to Glendale Park for reports of a fight where a man had a firearm.
Upon their arrival, the officer reported no one cooperated at the scene and didn’t find a gun.
According to police, closer to 6:00 p.m., they received another report the same man had a gun in the same area.
Later police stopped the man at a red light on Dewey Avenue and arrested David Lawrence, 22, without incident.
Lawrence was booked in Monroe County Jail after facing second and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
